About
Dr. Noorus Sabah Ismail Nadvi is an erudite Islamic, Arabic, and Urdu scholar, widely respected across India for his Qur’anic vision, oratory, and contribution to education. A Hafiz-e-Qur’an since 1980, he stands today among the most distinguished preachers and teachers of the Qur’an in West Bengal.
With over four decades of service to Qur’anic education, he is recognised for reviving a deep love for the Qur’an among students, youth, families, and intellectual circles.
He is the Founder, Director & Chief Administrator of Jibreel International School, established in 2008 with his younger brothers Basit Ismail and Captain Imran Ahmed — an institution now known for harmonizing Deen, Duniya, Akhlaq, and Academic Excellenc

A Legacy Rooted in His Father’s DreamBehind Dr. Ismail’s lifelong service stands the inspiring legacy of his father,
Qari Muhammad Ismail Zafar رح,
a man of deep piety, scholarship, and unwavering love for Allah, His Messenger ﷺ, the Qur’an, and Islam.
In 1972, his father founded Madrasah Babul Uloom in Kolkata —
a centre created with a single vision:
“To teach the Qur’an, to preserve Islamic values, and to provide the complete education of both worlds.”
He was:
•A Hafiz
•A Qari
•A scholar with MA Urdu & MA English
•A passionate educator
•A servant of Qur’anic knowledge
His life’s mission was to plant the seed of Qur’anic education in Bengal.
Today, Dr. Ismail’s work —
